Simple Application for Professional Results

Achieving a beautiful, professional finish is easier than you think. Proper preparation ensures maximum longevity and a flawless look.

1. Check the Weather

• The ambient temperature must be between55∘ -95∘ F during application.

  
  

  
  

• Confirm there is no rain in the forecast for 48 hours following completion.

2. Prepare the Surface

• Remove any prior stain, seal, or varnish to ensure deep penetration.

• Clean the wood thoroughly with Sun Frog Deck Cleaner or use a pressure washer.

• For wood that is heavily weathered or gray, we strongly recommend applying Sun Frog Born Again brightener first for optimal color and uniformity.

3. Apply Sun Frog Sealer & Stain

• The wood surface must be completely dry.

• Using astain applicator pad or a natural bristle brush, start in one corner.

  
  

  
  

• Apply the product and back-brush it into the wood grain to ensure it settles into all crevices.

• Apply onlyone coat, letting the wood absorb as much product as it can naturally.

  
  

  
  

• Do not overapply (avoiding liquid puddling on the surface is key).

• Wipe away any excess product 1-2 hours after completion for a clean, even finish.
