I am a widow and a retired teacher. I am handy in putting things together. From other reviews I knew the directions would be challenging. The directions were not my problem. The holes in the hickory part of the chair are like a pinpoint. The screws will not go through like they should. It is like drilling into a rock. After 2 weeks working on this I have to hire someone who does it for a living to finish it. I am sure the chair will be beautiful when done but I feel it was not adequately prepared to be put together by the buyer.
